Children Confess Christ!

Who witnesses better: a child or a disciple? What kind of witness does Christ want from his faithful ones? One that is bold and brash or one that is humble–recognizing their need for his gift of salvation when they are unable to save themselves?
The disciples were the first to push the children away from Jesus. But Jesus, recognizing the trust and value of little children, rebuked the disciples and told them to let the little children come to him.
Child Evangelism Fellowship of Southern Las Vegas, Nevada bring children together in Good News Clubs after school in 43 locations. They share Jesus with these children through stories and small group discussion, crafts and sometimes food.

I got the opportunity in April to visit three Good News Clubs. What joy was seen while children heard the story of how much God loved them — that He was born, was raised and died so that their mistakes/sins are no longer seen by God.
Gathered in groups, these children talked about what they have just heard about Jesus and his disciples. They ask questions, they challenge their Good News Club leaders for a better understanding of Jesus, the Bible and his love for them. And most amazing – they confess! They confess that they are not perfect, and that they want to have Jesus as their Savior, and Lord of their life.
The best news in these Good News Clubs is that Jesus says to everyone of these little ones who see their mistakes and want to do better – Yes, I am Your Savior and Lord, I will never leave you nor will I forsake you all the days of your life.
The apostle Paul says in Galatians 8:35, 38-39 ” Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” he answers, “I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
